A conservative group called Common Sense Issues is challenging McCain to “convince us” of his conservative allegiances. The group has issued an open letter to McCain. Read about the group’s challenge courtesy of the Wall Street Journal’s Washington Wire.
Visit the website for Common Sense Issues and read their open letter to McCain. They ask for [...]

As a follow up to our previous post on Global Cooling, here’s part 2.
DailyTech.com reports that many indicators across the planet show that we are in a distinct cooling period. All of this is relevant because John McCain, ever eager to partner with liberals, has proposed cabon limits on the US - which would have [...]

Here’s the back drop: McCain has bought in to the phoney-baloney global warming (aka the Al Gore career resuscitation program). After drinking the Kool-Aid, McCain joins with another Democrat and decides the answer is to begin taxing energy production in the US - a move that will add significant energy-relates costs to the average American [...]

The NY Times reminds us today that McCain is still not trusted by conservatives because of his whole Gang of 14 play in the Senate which denied an up or down vote on many of Bush’s conservative justices.
As Rush Limbaugh said today, its just great when the NY Times relishes telling us what’s wrong with [...]

Somebody explain this one to me (via CNN):
On Monday morning, McCain had told reporters that if he can’t convince the American people the United States is succeeding, “then I lose. I lose,” according to the Associated Press.
“We quickly retracted that,” McCain later said of the comment. “I was not allowed to retract it, obviously. I [...]

MSNBC.com is reporting that McCain has likened his bid to pull out of the public campaign finance system to be exactly the same as what Howard Dean has done in the past. (Now there’s an inspiring example of integrity!)
In any case, perhaps that’s not quite accurate:
Also, McCain dismissed a complaint filed with the FEC today [...]

The San Francisco Chronicle comments on the real problem that McCain needs to overcome quickly. As previously reported here, it has to do with public campaign financing, the Federal Election Commissions, the Senate, and McCain himself.
Here’s the deal:
McCain secured a $4 million loan for his campaign when he was hurting for money.
If in order to [...]

As the fallout continues from the NY Time’s piece on McCain’s relationship with lobbyists, and in particular one female lobbyist… Lowell Paxson, the guy that hired Alcalde & Fay’s Vicki Iseman - is contradicting McCain’s sequence of events.
Here it is in a nutshell:
In 1999, McCain, then chairman of the powerful Senate Commerce Committee, which oversees [...]

The tawdry part of the NY Time’s story about John McCain and a possible relationship with a female lobbyist is the insinuation that McCain may have had an affair with the woman.
But perhaps the part that warrants further investigation is the less glamorous business of whether McCain might have tried to improperly influence FCC actions [...]

Ann Coulter has a particularly insightful article at her site, AnnCoulter.com titled “How To Keep Reagan Out of Office”
She points out that the campaign finance laws that are in place today, and that were not in place when Reagan rose to California and then national prominence, greatly restrict good people who would otherwise run for [...]
