What is Romney Thinking?
Posted on February 14th, 2008 by
CNN reports that Romney will endorse McCain today and ask his delegates to support McCain. Malkin mentions it as well.
If true, what is Romney thinking?
Why not hold out, and use your delegates as a bargaining chip to get McCain to make a real committment to conservative causes? Why give away your clout without getting anything in return?
If all this is true, perhaps Romney wasn’t the conservative we hoped he was.

He’s trying to take out Huckabee, which is good. I would’ve liked Romney or another candidate, but I’m tired of Huck. The little time advantage we have shouldn’t be squandered.

Go Huck! Don’t give up!
A vote for Romney was indeed a vote for McCain! Romney the eternal opportunist!
The Republican establishment has used Bible believing Christians for years to gain power. Now that one of them runs for office, he gets the nuclear treatment. Bush won in 2000 and 2004 because of Christians.
McCain is a bitter pill to swallow. Only Huck can sweeten him. How else is McCain going to win the South, which the Republican party needs desperately? From the sheer numbers of voters in the primaries, it is clear New York, California, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are already in the Billary/Obama column.
If McCain shows Huck the same disrespect that the Republican establishment has, on election day, my wife and I will take the day off to see the beautiful fall foliage and ask God to give us the grace to live with the inevitable Clinton/Obama administration.
