The McCain Mutiny

Gribbit’s Word says that Romney’s call for his delegates to vote for McCain has justed handed “MexiCain” (cute) the nomination.

I’d simply point out that these delegates have a choice who they vote for. They don’t have to vote for McCain. If by any chance Huckabee should deny McCain any more substantial delegate counts - and we go to a brokered convention - it is possible these Romney delegates could line up with Huckabee instead. Of course, there’s not a lot of love between Huckabee and Romney - but a shift from Romney to Huckabee is ideologically not as far of a leap as from Romney to McCain.

I’m saying, don’t rule it out.
